Embarc, a fast-growing dispensary chain based in California, has launched a parody website that takes its cues from The Onion, aiming to diffuse some of the tension around today’s divisive presidential election.

Fake news stories on the platform called Potlitico include: “Candidates blaze their way onto popular podcasts, prove just how ‘chill’ they really are,” and “Kamala Harris and Donald Trump clash in fiery debate over sun grown vs indoor cannabis.” 

Meanwhile, a premium Colorado weed company dropped a digital and social campaign announcing two curated strains of flower “crafted to ease your mind, boost your mood” and “ease election anxiety,” per the brand Cherry and its agency partner Special Group U.S.
