After five weeks at the top of the charts, ABC News’ Good Morning America surrendered its crown on the last week of October. NBC News’ Today finished first in total viewers—and retained its usual top spot in the Adults 25-54 demo—for the week of Oct. 28.
That wasn’t the only unfortunate piece of news for GMA; it was also the only morning show to see a drop in week-to-week total viewers.
Meanwhile, CBS News’ CBS Mornings celebrated final week of the 2024 presidential election season as the only morning newscast to record week-to-week gains in both measured categories.
