Google parent Alphabet reported strong earnings this quarter beating analyst expectations, with search advertising powering that growth along with AI-fueled search products.

Google Search and other advertising revenue increased by 12% to $49.4 billion in Q3 2024. However, CEO Sundar Pichai and others did not specify on the call with analysts how much of that revenue is from search ads alone. Newly-appointed CFO Anat Ashkenazi did say that search remains the largest contributor to revenue growth, followed by a 35% growth in cloud.
