When OpenFortune chief revenue officer Carlo Palomino cracked open a fortune cookie at age 14, he had just started his own landscaping business. Did he look at that cookie as dessert or a career opportunity?
In the latest installment of video series Resume Rewind, sponsored by entertainment wiki hosting service Fandom, Palomino talks about his career path and what led him to placing ads inside people’s fortune cookies.
Palomino’s first job after college was in medical device sales for an orthopedic company, and he told ADWEEK, “I was in the OR (operating room) four days after training, learning from doctors and making sure we were giving them exactly what they needed to do the best surgeries they could.”
He moved on to create educational fundraising platform Learn2Earn, where kids do educational activities online to raise money for their school.
