Kaitlan Collins Is Named CNN's Chief White House Correspondent Setting Up Trump Rematch

Collins has a history of clashes with the president-elect

Kaitlan Collins is returning to Washington, D.C., to be CNN’s chief White House correspondent for President-elect Donald Trump‘s second term.

CNN CEO and Chairman Mark Thompson announced Collins’ expanded role on Tuesday during the network’s morning editorial call. He noted that she will continue to anchor her primetime show, The Source with Kaitlan Collins.

“Kaitlan Collins is the perfect person to lead coverage of the new Trump White House,” Thompson said in a statement. “Kaitlan is a political journalist of real depth and tenacity who already boasts an amazing record of scoops and exclusive interviews.”

Collins is returning to the beat that made her a rising star at CNN.
